ENGLISH DESCRIPTION Scaffolds narrates the ups and downs of Javier Montes, who, after twelve years in exile, returns to Montevideo, full of nostalgia, prejudices, and loneliness. Javier constructs this scaffolding that allows him to create a new world filled with all his hopes and dreams. Its fragmented structure of a work under construction, in which the elements at work—dialogues, reflections, memories, dreams, letters, and poems—appear loosely gathered, allows the reader to find a perfectly finished edifice: that of a return home.
