Jeff Lemire (Essex County, Ontario, Canada, 1976) is a Canadian comic book artist who dropped out of film studies to pursue comics, where he found his true voice. Among his most famous works are Sweet Tooth, the moving Essex County trilogy, and the original Black Hammer. He has also made an impact with titles like Descender, Gideon Falls, and his runs on Animal Man and Green Arrow. Lemire is known for human and approachable stories, always with a personal and authentic touch.

Malachi Ward is an illustrator, cartoonist, and writer working in Los Angeles. He has worked in background design and visual development for Green Street, Netflix, and Titmouse on shows like Centaur World, Captain Fall, Exploding Kittens, Jentry Chau Vs. The Underworld, and others. He is also the artist behind Black Hammer: The End, written by Jeff Lemire, and the co-creator of the graphic novels Ancestor and Expansion with Matt Sheean from Image Comics and AdHouse Books. Malachi has done many covers for various Star Trek titles, including the Lore War miniseries by IDW. Malachi's illustration work includes drawings for The New Yorker, Wired, Craft Records, Secretly Canadian, SpectreVision, New Beverly Cinema, and The New York Times.
