Synopsis "Con Ustedes¡ Nuestro Cerebro! (in Spanish)"

Stanislas Dehaene (Roubaix, France, May 12, 1965) is an internationally renowned cognitive neuroscientist, recognized for his research on numerical cognition, the neural bases of reading, and the neural correlates of consciousness. Since 2017, he has held the chair of Experimental Cognitive Psychology at the Collège de France and, since 1989, has directed the INSERM Unit 562 of Cognitive Neuroimaging.

Dehaene earned his bachelor's degree in mathematics at the École Normale Supérieure in Paris and completed his PhD in Experimental Psychology in 1989 under the supervision of Jacques Mehler. His most influential work, The Number Sense (1997), popularized the concept of "number sense," an innate ability to understand numbers and arithmetic relationships.

Throughout his career, he has received numerous accolades, such as the Centennial Fellowship from the James S. McDonnell Foundation in 1999, the Grand Scientific Prize from the Louis D. Foundation of the Institut de France in 2003, and the "Brain" Prize in 2014.

In addition to his research work, Dehaene has been an associate editor of the journal Cognition and a member of the editorial board of several scientific publications. His work has had a significant impact on the understanding of human mental processes and continues to be a reference in the field of cognitive neuroscience.
