Jorge Luis Borges (Buenos Aires, 1899 – Geneva, 1986) was one of the most influential writers of the 20th century, noted for his originality and literary precision. Throughout his life, he cultivated unparalleled erudition, with constant references to philosophy, metafiction, labyrinths, and the infinite.
