Blake Crouch nació en Carolina del Norte (Estados Unidos) en 1978 y se licenció en Filología Inglesa y Escritura Creativa. Es autor de una docena de libros, varios de ellos adaptados a la televisión, entre los que destaca la trilogía Wayward Pines, cuya adaptación produjo M. Night Shyamalan. Su novela "Materia oscura" (Nocturna, 2017), se vendió en subastas a una veintena de idiomas y Sony compró sus derechos cinematográficos.
