As I closed the drawer, there was a heavy thud as he tried to kick the door open. Tugging on the robe, I decided to take a chance with jumping. Lifting the window, I stuck one leg through just as the door sprang open, splintering at the edges. I pulled my body through and my head collided with the window jam.
