No consigo aceptar la tesismarxista del nazismo como fruto de la lucha de clases; elcomportamiento del pueblo alem n era muy especial y la personalidad de Hitler tambi‚n.Primo Levieratura rab¡nica y de leyendas jud¡as, para establecer las distinciones fundamentales entre el antisemitismo ylos dem s racismos. De este modo, llega a una verdad ancestralsobre ese odio: se les reprocha a los jud¡os no ser como los dem s, yencarnar por eso una extra¤eza insoluble y amenazante. La identidadjud¡a es siempre un asunto de separaci¢n: cuando el otro encarna lafalta y la imposible totalidad, lo odio por amenazar mi integridad.Alo largo de su an lisis, la autora observa que la furia antijud¡aparece mutar constantemente y reencarnarse de tanto en tanto encontextos muy diferentes. As¡, los motivos recurrentes delantisemitismo se revitalizan en los discursos contempor neos de laextrema derecha y la extrema izquierda. Frente a esto, la literaturarab¡nica busca ofrecer a los jud¡os la posibilidad de convertirse enactores de su historia ante lo que a£n podr¡a suceder. De esta forma,Reflexiones sobre la cuesti¢n antisemita se convierte en unareferencia ineludible que brinda herramientas de resistencia entiempos de odio y rechazo.

He was born into a Jewish family settled in Piedmont. In 1941, he graduated as a chemist from the University of Turin, a profession he would later combine with his literary activity. After participating in the resistance in northern Italy, he was captured and deported to the Auschwitz concentration camp. Following the liberation of the camp in 1945, and after a hazardous journey through Eastern Europe, Levi returned to Turin, where he published his first account of the Nazi extermination camps, If This Is a Man (1947), a foundational book of concentration camp literature

Subsequently, The Truce (1963) and The Drowned and the Saved (1986) were published, two essential titles that complete the Auschwitz Trilogy. Among his works are also his five volumes of stories: Natural Histories, Structural Defect, The Periodic Table, Lilith and Other Stories, and Last Christmas of War.
