His most famous work, The Mediocre Man, criticizes the lack of initiative and social conformity. Ingenieros was an influential thinker in 20th century Argentina, promoting rational thought and culture as tools for progress. Additionally, he was a political activist and engaged in debates about the identity and destiny of his country.

Me siento un poco decepcionado pues , por el precio, esperaba una exposición de este ensayo que por lo menos incluyera algunas notas que sirvan de guía. No encontré ninguna errata. El papel es bastante grueso. No hay mucho que advertir, por lo menos se tomaron la molestia de añadir un índice. Mucho me temo que en estas condiciones se podría optar por una edición más económica.
