Konstantin Stanislavski (1863-1938) was a Russian actor, director, and theatrical educator, known for developing a revolutionary acting method based on naturalness and emotional introspection. Co-founder of the Moscow Art Theatre in 1898, his work deeply influenced modern acting, giving rise to techniques used in contemporary theatre and cinema. His approach aimed for actors to live their characters through emotional truth, laying the foundations of scenic realism.

Among his most influential works is An Actor Prepares (1936), part of his trilogy on his acting method. Other fundamental publications include Building a Character (1949) and Creating a Role (1957), in which he outlines his ideas on acting and actor training. His work belongs to the genre of theatrical theory and pedagogy.
