Synopsis "En Plena Noche / In the Middle of the Night (in Spanish)"

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION A rockband. A concert. A missing girl. It has been over twenty years, but some nights never end. After The Liar'ssuccess, Mikel Santiago returns with a new thriller set in Illumbe, the most mysterious and secretive town in the Basque region. Can one night mark the fate of everyone who lived it? It's been more than twenty years since Diego Letamendia, now fading rockstar, performed in his hometown, Illumbe, for the last time. That was the night his band split up and he parted from his friends, but it was also the night Lorea, his girlfriend, disappeared. The police were never able to clarify what happened to her, that she was seen leaving the concert hall in a hurry, as if she was running from something or someone. Afterthat, Diego launched a single career and never returned to Illumbe. When one of the band members dies in a strange fire, Diego decides to go back. Many years have gone by, and meeting his oldest friends again is hard--none of them remain the same. Meanwhile, there is a growing suspicion that the fire was not accidental. Is it possible that everything is connected, and that, after so long, Diego will be able to find new clues about what happened to Lorea? Mikel Santiago sets the stage once again at this fictitious town in the Basque region, where his last novel, The Liar, takes place. It is a story scarred by a past that could have terrible consequences in the present. This masterful thriller surrounds us with nineties nostalgia while we unravel the mystery of one particular night everyone is struggling to forget.
