Rainer Albertz arbeitet in seinem Kommentarband den theologischen Gehalt des Exodusbuchs heraus, indem er die religiosen, rechtlichen und kultpolitischen Diskurse rekonstruiert, die dessen Autoren lange Zeit uber die Grundlagen ihres Gottesverhaltnisses gefuhrt haben. Er stellt ein neues Entstehungsmodell fur den Pentateuch vor und berucksichtigt dabei auch die geografischen und historischen Aspekte des Sinai und des Zeltheiligtums.
