Malorie Blackman (Clapham, United Kingdom, 1962) is a renowned British writer and screenwriter specialized in young adult literature, famous for addressing complex social issues such as racism and inequality. Her most iconic work is the Noughts & Crosses series (Pares y Nones), a literary reference adapted by HBO in 2020. She has published over sixty books, including Pig-Heart Boy and Cloud Busting, and was the first black screenwriter to write for the Doctor Who series.
