Synopsis "Harry Potter y el Prisionero de Azkaban / Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban = Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban de j. K. Rowling(Salamandra) (in Spanish)"

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is the third volume of British author J.K. Rowling's now classic series of fantasy novels. "Welcome to the night bus, an emergency transport for any wizard abandoned to their own fate. Raise your wand, get on board, and we'll take you wherever you need to go." When the night bus bursts into a dark street and brakes with a loud screech in front of Harry, marks the beginning of a new year at Hogwarts, full of extraordinary events. Sirius Black, a murderer and follower of dark Lord Voldemort, has escaped, and they say he is looking for Harry. In Harry's first Divination class, Professor Trelawney sees an omen of death in Harry's the tea leaves... But perhaps most terrifying are the Dementors who patrol the school gardens, willing to suck your soul with just a kiss.

Joanne Rowling (Yate, 1965), known worldwide as J.K. Rowling, is a British writer and screenwriter who has left a deep mark on contemporary literature thanks to the creation of the Harry Potter saga. Her work not only revolutionized children's and young adult literature, but also became a global cultural phenomenon. Before achieving success, Rowling studied Philology and worked in various jobs, including Amnesty International. It was during a train journey when the idea of Harry Potter emerged, which, after overcoming personal difficulties such as the loss of her mother and raising her daughter alone, managed to publish in 1997 after several editorial rejections. The Harry Potter saga, with more than 600 million copies sold and translated into multiple languages, is her most influential work. She also writes crime novels under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith, showing her versatility as an author.

In 2020, J.K. Rowling returned to writing for children with the fairy tale The Ickabog, which she first published for free online during the lockdown; later she donated all the book's royalties to help the most vulnerable groups affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. J.K. Rowling confesses she always wanted to be a writer. She lives in Scotland with her family.
