Who is the Anti-Christ? There have been massive speculations on who is the "man of sin?" The vessel is not as important as the spirit that works the strings to manipulate his puppet. "Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices" II Corinthians 2:11). Christians need to be aware of our enemies' methods so we can recognize our foes. If we can see how this spirit has operated down through history we will easily know the vessel. He has best known to Christians as the Biblical Baal but this spirit has permeated culture after culture for thousands of years. The Anti-Christ spirit has gone by many names: Marduk, Ashur, Amon-Re, Thor, Zeus, Jupiter and others in various nations. His personality has been consistent in an attempt to compete with the Lord for honor and is the same today in our modern culture. When we see how he has always thought of himself as the exception to all rules and laws it will be obvious who operates in this demon today on a personal as well as a national scale.
