Synopsis "In Dreams, We Fly"

After the untimely death of her mother to cancer, Sitka thinks when she goes to live with her aunt and cousin in Wilmington, North Carolina from New York, the biggest challenge she'll face will be as the new kid in an unfamiliar area. However, when she witnesses a body being dumped in the woods, Sitka finds herself hiding in an abandoned shack from the perpetrators of the crime. A secret door she finds in the floor of the space takes her beyond her world... fifty years back in time. She finds the separation between that time and hers in 1979 isn't so clear. An unlikely companion helps her seek the answers to the questions of her purpose there. In turn, Sitka attempts to help him save his family in 1929. Sitka must find the reason she's been taken back in time in order to get home and set things right. A secret weighs on her, she can't quite put her finger on. She knows she is running from more than the people who dumped the body. In her own time, through a break in the worlds, she observes a tragedy about to unfold. By bringing the secret to light, she holds the key to stopping it and must face her fears to traverse both worlds and save not only those she loves... but also herself.
