Esta historia comienza en un pequeño antro en Bellavista, con poco más de cincuenta personas en el público, y culmina en el Estadio Nacional, con cien mil almas reunidas en un fin de semana histórico para la música chilena. En los días del Tomm Pub, Los Bunkers tocaban bajo cuatro focos, probablemente a cambio de una pizza y cinco cervezas. Tal como dijo Brian Epstein, mánager de los Beatles, sobre sus primeras actuaciones en The Cavern Club: “Eran cuatro muchachos en un escenario mal iluminado”. Esa misma sensación de humildad y potencial se reflejaba en los inicios del quinteto de Concepción.

Marcelo Aldunate is a journalist, music producer, and key figure in the contemporary Chilean music scene. With an extensive career in media, he was the director of Radio Rock & Pop and founder of Radio Uno. Since 2004, he has been dedicated to music production, collaborating with artists such as Camila Moreno, Manuel García, Francisca Valenzuela, and Los Bunkers. His experience and commitment to national music have made him a reference in the industry.

In April 2025, Aldunate published Los Bunkers, a book that analyzes the eponymous debut album of the band from Concepción, released in 2001. This work is part of the Disco Rayado collection by La Piedra Redonda Ediciones. The book offers an intimate look at the band's early years, from their performances in small venues to their rise in the Chilean music scene.
