Synopsis "Neon Genesis Evangelion 3-In-1 Edition, Vol. 1: Includes Vols. 1, 2 & 3"

The classic series, now available in a deluxe omnibus edition! The manga adaptation of the landmark animated series that changed the mecha genre. Each volume contains three of the original graphic novels and includes pages of stunning, full-color art. Once Shinji didn't care about anything; then he found people to fight for--only to learn that he couldn't protect them or keep those he let into his heart from going away. As mankind tilts on the brink of the apocalyptic Third Impact, human feelings are fault lines leading to destruction and just maybe, redemption and rebirth.

Yoshiyuki Sadamoto is a prominent Japanese manga artist and character designer, born on January 29, 1962 in Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. He is recognized for his crucial role in the creation of Neon Genesis Evangelion, both in its anime version and its manga adaptation. Additionally, he was one of the co-founders of the influential animation studio Gainax.

Sadamoto began his artistic career at the University of Tokyo, where he studied art. In 1984, he co-founded Gainax with Hideaki Anno and other collaborators. His first major work at Gainax was as an animator in the opening of Daicon IV, an animated short film that marked the beginning of the studio's trajectory. Subsequently, he served as character designer in various productions, including Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honnêamise (1987), Gunbuster (1988), Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water (1990–1991), FLCL (2000–2001), and Diebuster (2004–2006).

His most emblematic work is Neon Genesis Evangelion, an anime series that debuted in 1995. Sadamoto was also the author of the homonymous manga, which began publication in 1994 and concluded in 2013, spanning a total of 14 volumes. This manga is characterized by its detailed visual style and deep psychological focus, offering a unique interpretation of the story presented in the anime.

In addition to his work on Evangelion, Sadamoto has collaborated with director Mamoru Hosoda on character design for several films, such as The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (2006), Summer Wars (2009), and Wolf Children (2012). His artistic style has been recognized for its ability to combine elements of traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern influences, creating expressive and memorable characters.

Throughout his career, Yoshiyuki Sadamoto has left an indelible mark on the manga and animation industry, being a key figure in the evolution of contemporary anime.
