Author and journalist, Robert Harris studied English Literature at Selwyn College, Cambridge, where he stood out for his activism and his work as the editor of the university newspaper, a prelude to his later career in well-known media such as The Observer or the Sunday Times, as well as for the BBC, where he presented current affairs programs Panorama and Newsnight

In literature, Harris made a name for himself as an essayist, publishing several books of investigative journalism, until in 1992 he achieved worldwide success with Fatherland, a uchronia where Nazi Germany wins World War II.
