Jorge Luis Olivares Peña is a Mexican surgeon specialized in criminology and forensic medicine. Graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), he continued his training at the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN), where he specialized in Forensic Medicine. With over a decade of experience, he has delved into the darkest aspects of criminology and has been internationally recognized for his work in the study of femicides.

Among his notable works is "9 Circles" (2022), the first installment of the "Forensic Clues" trilogy, which addresses cases of fictional homicides from a forensic perspective. Another relevant work is "Femicidal Violence: Forensic Medical Stories" (second edition, 2023), where he recounts real stories of violence against women based on his professional experience. These works belong to the non-fiction and criminology genre, and reflect his commitment to the dissemination of forensic and criminological issues.
