C. Smith Pamela, also known as Pamela Colman Smith, was a talented British illustrator, writer, editor, and occultist, whose artistic and spiritual legacy remains deeply influential. Mainly recognized for illustrating the famous Rider-Waite-Smith tarot deck (1909), her work marked a before and after in esoteric culture and visual arts. Additionally, Pamela dedicated her life to creating creative spaces for women in a time when art and business were predominantly dominated by men.

In 1903, she launched her own magazine, The Green Sheaf, a project that sought to promote the works of her contemporaries, including artists and writers with an innovative and visionary approach. Although the magazine only existed for just over a year, its impact helped cement a support network among independent artists of the time. Pamela Colman Smith is remembered today not only for her contributions to tarot, but also for her commitment to creating inclusive spaces and her forward-thinking vision.
