Robert Toru Kiyosaki (Hilo, Hawaii, 1947) is an American businessman, investor, educator, and writer of Japanese descent, primarily known for his work in financial education. Thanks to his innovative approach, he has helped millions of people rethink their relationship with money and investment, promoting economic independence through knowledge and action.
Founder of Cashflow Technologies and the Rich Dad company, Kiyosaki has spread his ideas through books, games, and seminars. After serving as a pilot in Vietnam and working at Xerox, he started various businesses, learning valuable lessons from his initial failures which he later shared with his audience. His most notable work, Rich Dad Poor Dad (1997), compares the teachings of two father figures to show the difference between the traditional mindset and the wealth mindset. This book, translated into more than 40 languages and sold in over 80 countries, has become a global reference in personal finance.
