Erik J. Larsen (nacido el 8 de diciembre de 1962 en Minneapolis, Minnesota) es un influyente dibujante, guionista y editor de cómics estadounidense. Es reconocido principalmente por su trabajo en Marvel Comics, especialmente en The Amazing Spider-Man, y por ser uno de los cofundadores de Image Comics, donde creó y ha mantenido la serie Savage Dragon durante más de tres décadas.

Desde joven, Larsen mostró interés por los cómics, influenciado por su padre, profesor de inglés y lector de EC Comics. A los 19 años, cofundó el fanzine Graphic Fantasy, donde presentó a su personaje The Dragon, un superhéroe inspirado en Batman y Capitán Marvel. Este personaje debutó profesionalmente en Megaton #3 en 1986.

En 1992, junto a otros artistas como Todd McFarlane y Jim Lee, fundó Image Comics, buscando mayor control creativo y royalties. Savage Dragon se convirtió en una de las series más longevas de Image, destacándose por su enfoque en la evolución del personaje y la narrativa continua.
