Günter Gerngross held a PhD in Education from the University of Graz (Austria). He was an English teacher at the Pädagogische Akademie in Graz and taught English teaching methodology at the University of Graz. He spoke at several international conferences.

For over two decades, he dedicated himself to classroom research, including the practical application of cognitive psychology to teaching English as a foreign language. Günter co-authored numerous textbooks and resource books. Sadly, he passed away in 2018.
