Synopsis "Tai-Pan "

James Clavell's writing is the benchmark against which all other oriental epics are judged. One of the most accessible and exciting of Clavell's earlier books. This is the definitive historical novel. Blood, Sex and Politics, combined with detailed realism. Well over a million copies sold. This is a real insight into the relationship between Eastern and Western cultures, and of course, how they see each other.Stunning new package to reinvigorate sales and bring Clavell to a new generation of readers.'Packed with action... gaudy and flamboyant with blood and sin, treachery and conspiracy, sex and murder... grand entertainment' - New York Times
