Jeffrey Anderson es un ilustrador de cómics británico conocido principalmente por su trabajo en los Transformers para Marvel UK y Judge Dredd para IPC/Fleetway. Con una sólida formación artística en la escuela Hartlepool College of Art (1972-1975) y en la Universidad Politécnica de Leeds, ahora Leeds Beckett University, donde se licencio en Arte en 1978. Se casó en 1975 con tan solo 19 años con Ann, que es sacerdote de la iglesia Anglicana.
Comenzó su carrera artística tras sus estudios, dibujando tarjetas de felicitación, carteles para pubs, magacines juveniles y publicidad. Su irrupción en el mundo de los cómics no llegaría hasta 1984, cuando dibuja y entinta para la editorial británica IPC un par de historias de la saga Tharg's Future-Shocks, una de las más famosas de la mítica revista 2000 AD. Con esa carta de presentación comienza a trabajar simultáneamente como artista independiente para Marvel UK y la propia IPC/Fleetway, siendo un autor habitual durante la siguiente década en las publicaciones de estas compañías y algunas más inglesas, como Harrier, donde trabaja en Ram: Assassin para la revista Swiftsure, Egmont UK o Atomeka Press.
Para IPC dibujó en los seriales de 2000 AD, Tharg's Future-Shocks, Judge Dredd y Anderson PSI Division, y cuando la compañía fue renombrada Fleetway, siguió con los mismos personajes en las publicaciones Halo Jones y sobre todo 2000 AD, en la que se mantuvo hasta 1993. Para Marvel UK comenzó ilustrando los relatos titulados “Paragon of Painthorpe Street” en Captain Britain Vol.2 #1- Captain Britain Vol.2 #4, escritos por el guionista británico John Tomlinson. Pronto pasa a dibujar cómics en la misma revista y portadas en The Transformers UK y Action Force, colecciones que reeditaban material americano de G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero y The Transformers, con tan solo algunas páginas nuevas. Jeff dibujó y entintó decenas de estas pequeñas historias en The Transformers UK. También colaboró en las revistas Thundercats y Spider-Man and Zoids. A partir de 1990, cuando la compañía comenzó a publicar material realizado en las Islas Británicas, pasa a labores de entintador, ocupándose de varios números de los títulos Death's Head, The Knights of Pendragon, Mys-Tech Wars y Gun Runner.
