Isabel Sterling is an American author of young adult novels, known for her stories that combine fantasy, romance, and LGBTQ+ representation. She was born and raised in a small town in New York state and, besides being a writer, works as a life coach for queer people. She is openly lesbian, and much of her work reflects her commitment to visibility and diversity in young adult literature.

Sterling debuted as a novelist with These Witches Don’t Burn (2019), a story about teenage witches set in Salem, Massachusetts, that mixes magic, romance, and mystery.
