Marco is a business intelligence consultant and mentor. He started working in Analysis Services in 1998, when Analysis Services was known as OLAP Services.

Marco, a veteran in comprehensive projects, wrote several books with Alberto Ferrari on Power BI, Analysis Service, and Power Pivot. They also regularly publish articles and technical papers, available at sqlbi.com. Marco is a Microsoft MVP and SSAS Master, the highest certification in Microsoft Analysis Services.

Currently, Marco dedicates his time to SQLBI clients, traveling extensively to train and provide consultancy on DAX and data modeling for Power BI and Analysis Services. Marco also teaches public classes worldwide.

Marco is a regular speaker at international conferences such as Microsoft Ignite, PASS Summit, and SQLbits. He also enjoys giving evening sessions at local user groups during his travels.

When not working, you can find Marco perfecting his Neapolitan pizza skills or testing electric cars.

Alberto started working with SQL Server in 2000 and immediately became interested in business intelligence. He and Marco Russo created sqlbi.com, where they publish extensive content on business intelligence

Alberto has published several books on Analysis Services, Power BI, and Power Pivot. He is a Microsoft MVP and earned the SSAS Maestro title, the highest certification in Microsoft Analysis Services technology

Currently, Alberto focuses on delivering data modeling and DAX workshops for Power BI and Analysis Services worldwide. He offers consulting services on large and complex data warehouses for project analysis evaluation and validation or specific problem-solving

Alberto is a recognized speaker at numerous international conferences, such as PASS Summit, Sqlbits, and Microsoft Ignite. He loves participating in both large events and smaller user group meetings, exchanging ideas with other SQL and BI enthusiasts. When traveling for work, he enjoys interacting with local user groups to conduct evening sessions on his favorite topics. Outside of SQLBI, Alberto spends most of his personal time playing video games, with the vain hope of eventually beating his son.
