Nicholas Sparks (Omaha, 1965) is an American writer globally recognized for his romantic novels that explore themes such as love, destiny, faith, and tragedy. After studying Finance with honors at the University of Notre Dame, Sparks began his literary career with The Notebook (1996), a work that quickly became a New York Times bestseller and marked the beginning of an unprecedented publishing success
