Synopsis "The Venus Flytrap"

Midtown homicide detective Jack Bergman and his partner detective Valerie Taylor have been assigned a case where a sadistic killer murders young attractive women and leaves their lifeless nude bodies in public places with no witnesses and very few leads. Jack Bergman, a first grade detective with uncanny investigation skills usually solves crimes quickly. However this case will force him and his partner Valerie to enter into a world of sexual deprivation and perversion neither has encountered before. Jack and Valerie must use every available resource and overcome many twists and unexpected turns to try to bring this madman to justice. Jack's personal life is filled with colorful characters from his past and a lover in the form of an ambitious reporter whose motives come into question on multiple occasions. The addition of a mysteriously attractive assistant district attorney and a tattoo covered sex shop owner all provide new and interesting struggles in Jack's already hectic life. His partner Valerie has her hands full trying to keep up with all the activity in her partner's life. All of this adds to the exciting and tumultuous journey as Jack and Valerie attempt to solve this most perplexing crime.
