María Jesús Álava Reyes, born in Madrid in 1954, holds a degree in Psychology from the Complutense University. Expert in Psychotherapy by the European Federation of Psychologists' Associations (EFPA), master in Human Resources Management, specialist in Executive Coaching, master in Educational Psychology, and specialist in Psychodiagnosis. Additionally, she is a collaborating professor at the Complutense University and the University of Navarra, and an honorary member of the Castilian Society of Medicine and Occupational Safety.
She has worked for over 40 years in the fields of Business Psychology, Health and Educational Psychology, and has held various positions of responsibility at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), the Ministry of Development, and Spanish Airports and Air Navigation (AENA). Currently, she is the president of Apertia Consulting and the University Foundation for the Development of Psychology and Research. Moreover, she directs the Álava Reyes Psychology Center and the Institute of Psychological and Social Well-being. She was selected as one of the TOP 100 Women Leaders in Spain in 2012, 2017, and 2020 and received the 2017 Award for the best work in Dissemination of Psychology.
