The warhead and missile are smuggled into northern Mexico and launched against the US on July 4th,2020, destroying the US electrical distribution system and most electronic devices, making travel and communication impossible, and leaving citizens in a desperate competition for food and water.In addition, destruction of American leadership leaves the world without the restraining hand of US power and influence. The Commander of USA Pacific Command is thrust into the position of Acting President to confront the challenges ahead. Believing they have neutralized America, Iran plans to destroy the hated Jewish state. Israel learns of this scheme and plans a preemptive strike. Russia concludes that the time has come to restore the boundaries of the former Soviet Union, while North Korea, seizing the opportunity, attacks South Korea.
