Judson Brewer is a psychiatrist. His approach is based on the combination of his experience and professional training, specialized in addictions, with his own personal training –of more than twenty years– in mindfulness. He researched what he calls the science of self-mastery and applied it to the development of programs for the treatment of substance abuse and eating disorders, making him an international reference in the field. He is the founder of Claritas MindSciences, where he works from mindfulness and neurofeedback techniques in various conditions. He is also a professor of Psychiatry and Medicine and director of Research in the Mindfulness Department at the University of Massachusetts.
