Andrea Cote
Andrea Cote Botero (Barrancabermeja, Colombia, 1981) is a distinguished Colombian poet and writer. She studied Literature at Universidad de los Andes and completed a PhD in Latin American Literature at the University of Pennsylvania. Currently, she resides in El Paso, Texas, where she teaches at the University of Texas-El Paso.
Among her most recognized works is "Dear Beth" (2025), which earned her the XXIV Casa de América Prize for American Poetry. Her poetry addresses themes such as migration, violence, and her hometown, Barrancabermeja. Additionally, she has participated in international events, such as the Cultural Summit in Abu Dhabi.
