Ernst Neufert
(Germany, 1900-1986) He worked for five years collaborating on planning projects and as a construction manager in Weimar, and in 1919 he joined the architecture department of the Bauhaus. At the age of 26, he was appointed professor and head of the construction department of the Bauhaus in Weimar, and shortly thereafter acting director and head of the architecture workshop at the Universität Jena. In 1936, the first German edition of The Art of Projecting in Architecture was published.
