Pedro Cayuqueo
(1975) He is a journalist and writer. Founder and director of the newspapers Azkintuwe and Mapuchetimes. He is a regular columnist at The Clinic, La Tercera, and Caras magazine. He is part of the editorial board of the International Indigenous Press Agency (RED-AIPIN) and the advisory council of the National Institute of Human Rights (INDH).
In 2011, he was awarded by the College of Journalists of Chile and in 2013, he received the Ibero-American Journalism Integrity Award, given by the North American Congress on Latin America and New York University. That same year, he was a finalist in the Excellence in Journalism contest (UAH) for his opinion column “Nicolasa, la dignidad rebelde”.
In 2011, he was awarded by the College of Journalists of Chile and in 2013, he received the Ibero-American Journalism Integrity Award, given by the North American Congress on Latin America and New York University. That same year, he was a finalist in the Excellence in Journalism contest (UAH) for his opinion column “Nicolasa, la dignidad rebelde”.
