Sofía Fauré Valdivielso is a Chilean writer born in Santiago in 1965, trained in acting and with a notable career as an oral storyteller and theatrical pedagogue. Since 2001, she has dedicated herself to children's and young adult literature, combining her stage experience with creative writing. Among her most recognized works are Una jirafa muy especial (2014), Las aventuras de Herbert, la hormiga que quería ser ocultista (2012) and El viajero de los sueños (2013), all published by Editorial Edebé Chile. Her work is characterized by addressing themes of personal growth and human values, framed in the genres of children's and young adult literature.
In addition to her work as a writer, Fauré Valdivielso has been teaching for over 26 years, giving classes in areas related to theater and literature. Her pedagogical and creative approach has been fundamental in bringing reading and art closer to children and young people, fostering emotional development and imagination through her stories and workshops.
