Antonio Manzini
Antonio Manzini (Rome, 1964) is an Italian actor, director, and writer. He studied at the Accademia Nazionale d'Arte Drammatica Silvio d'Amico, where he was a student of Andrea Camilleri. He began his career as an actor in film and television in the 90s, participating in various Italian productions.
As a writer, Manzini has excelled in the crime novel genre. He is known for the series starring Deputy Chief of Police Rocco Schiavone, which began with "Black Run" (2013) and continued with titles such as "Adam's Rib" (2014) and "A Spring of Dogs" (2015). In 2016, he received the Chiara Award for "Five Roman Investigations for Rocco Schiavone". His most recent work, "Ah l’amore l’amore" (2019), follows Schiavone's investigations.
