Synopsis "1984 (in Spanish)"

La novela 1984 es un ejemplo, quizá el más contundente junto con Un mundo feliz y Fahrenheit 451, de un posible futuro distópico, completamente totalitario, en el que los habitantes sólo tienen la opción de seguir las reglas, o perecer; y en el caso de 1984, de ser «vaporizados», de perecer y ser borrados de la existencia y del recuerdo de que alguna vez hayan existido. El protagonista de la narración es el hombre solo por excelencia. Ese es su gran drama personal, y en cuanto a nosotros, que somos esos hombres comunes, nuestra gran tragedia colectiva. Tiene treinta y nueve años y vive en lo que se describe como una ciudad de Londres de después de las Grandes Revoluciones, agrisada, sin alegría y con muchos rastros de las guerras, dominada por los cuatro grandes Ministerios creados por el Ingsoc, el sistema político que todo lo controla.
