Synopsis "2000: A Fictitious Account of the Stripling Warriors from the Book of Mormon"

"2000" is a fictitious account of the Stripling Warriors from the Book of Mormon. Nochehuatl, fierce leader of the Eagle Warriors, leads the Lamanite armies to victory over the renegade city of Helam. Nochehuatl wants to save a young woman among the prisoners, but is challenged by Acheron, a Zoramite and a traditional enemy of the Lamanites. The young woman's bravery amazes Nochehuatl and makes a mark that cannot be erased. Nochehuatl's world turns upside-down. Rumors arise that his people, the Ishmaelites, have joined their traditional enemies, the Nephites. To make matters worse, the Lamanite Priest deposes Nochehuatl as head of the Lamanite armies and puts Acheron in his place. Nochehuatl determines to reclaim his native Ishmaelites or kill them, but instead, he is changed forever. Acheron vows to kill Nochehuatl, but Nochehuatl buries his weapons deep in the earth and begins a new life with his daughter and two young sons. The years pass. Nochehuatl's daughter meets a young man from Helam. The young man holds a terrible secret that tears Nochehautl's family apart. The Lamanites return, led by Acheron. They begin to conquer the Nephites and Nochehuatl is powerless to stop them. Only one force can save the Nephites--2000 Stripling Warriors, young men who have never fought before. They have only their faith to protect them. Nochehuatl's oldest son joins them. His younger son wants to, but Nochehuatl forbids it. Will Nochehuatl reunite his family? Will Acheron get his revenge? Will the 2000 succeed? Will they survive? Will good triumph over evil?
