They range widely over the theme of love, including love of nature, love for partners, present and lost, and-in a landscape full of churches named after Cornish saints- love of God. At a time of climate crisis when human beings are bent on destroying their environment, it is significant that many of the poets cannot separate their love for another person from their empathy with the whole natural world.
