A Tale of Two Heroes - Mana Avey

As the heir to a barren island, Raffia has it all! Well, apart from friends... or emotional stability. How is she supposed to control a nation if she can’t even control her temper? When her father is murdered by invading soldiers, she flees to mainland Seraea in search of alleged allies and answers to the questions he left her with.

Azrael is on a quest to find a girl. Not just any girl - he has that covered - but a girl his father, King Gabriel, believes is the key to immeasurable power. She’ll also be his key back into the Palace, unless his prissy, stuck-up brother gets his manicured talons on her first.

When Azrael and Raffia’s paths cross, they must confront some uncomfortable truths about their origins... which is considerably easier than confronting the reality of their situation. Having someone to lean on makes anything possible, though, right? Even breaking a cycle of tyranny and mopping up the ensuing mess.

A Tale of Two Heroes is an exploration of themes such as neurodivergence and generational trauma masquerading as a quirky fantasy adventure with a generous topping of romance.
