(Germany, 1943) After the bombing of his hometown, he traveled with his parents to Peru, where he grew up, studying at the Champagnat College of the Marist Brothers. He met the Marianists through the Parish of Santa María Reina and in 1961 he entered the Postulancy in Lima. He studied Mathematics and philosophy in Texas, where he obtained his Bachelor's degree in 1965. His theology studies, specializing in the Bible, were conducted in Switzerland. His postgraduate studies and thesis were completed in Jerusalem. Back in Lima, he taught Sacred Scripture at the Faculty of Theology (1976-1980), where he was an Assistant Professor. Since 1977, he has been serving as the main professor of Sacred Scripture at the Juan XXIII Higher Institute of Theological Studies.
