La antropología es el tratado sobre el hombre, el ser humano. La elaboran hombres en base a su autorreflexión sustentada en sus diversas observaciones y apreciaciones de la vida humana. Inevitablemente se prioriza un ángulo o punto de vista sobre otros. Uno de los posibles enfoques es el religioso. Es éste el que nos ocupará en estas páginas, más concretamente la perspectiva judeo-cristiana tal como se refleja en la Biblia.Hoy se habla de antropología cultural, social, religiosa, filosófica, etc. Como sea, no se debe disociar al hombre de la sociedad y de su "ideología", incluida la religiosa, pues se correría el riesgo de distorsionar el cuadro. El hombre es una unidad, si bien entramado en una sociedad y orientado por su "ideología" o conjunto de axiomas y paradigmas rectores. Por eso la idea materialista del hombre difiere profundamente de la idea judeo-cristiana.

(Germany, 1943) After the bombing of his hometown, he traveled with his parents to Peru, where he grew up, studying at the Champagnat College of the Marist Brothers. He met the Marianists through the Parish of Santa María Reina and in 1961 he entered the Postulancy in Lima. He studied Mathematics and philosophy in Texas, where he obtained his Bachelor's degree in 1965. His theology studies, specializing in the Bible, were conducted in Switzerland. His postgraduate studies and thesis were completed in Jerusalem. Back in Lima, he taught Sacred Scripture at the Faculty of Theology (1976-1980), where he was an Assistant Professor. Since 1977, he has been serving as the main professor of Sacred Scripture at the Juan XXIII Higher Institute of Theological Studies.
