Synopsis "And the Puppy Dog Chased Its Tail: The Ever Decreasing Circles of English Education"

SATS, CATS, ALPS, AFL, ALS, APP, ECM, EBD, EYDP, FFT, G&T IEP, VLE, INSET, SEAL, SENCO, PLASC, RAISEonline, SA, SA+, SMT, SLT.No, this isn’t some bizarre attempt at creating a new lexicon, but just a handful of the hundreds of acronyms that have infested the domain of education in recent years.Nick Evans has been a teacher for twenty years. In that time he has seen teachers constantly denigrated by government and journalists, subject to a perpetual and obsessive demand for change and torture from initiative overload. The author focuses on personal experience and observation rather than educational theory to create a wickedly entertaining insight into the world of modern English education - a system that is as crazy and circular as a puppy dog chasing its own tail.
