Synopsis "Angara: Ein Sibirischer Schicksalsstrom (in German)"

Es war ein herrlicher Samstagmorgen im Frühling, der 22. Mai 1948, als wie ein Donnerschlag die Nachricht kam, da viele Memelländer in der Nacht verschleppt wurden. Mit diesem Satz endet der einleitende Teil der Autobiographie von Hildegard Schuschel, in dem sie von ihrer Kindheit im Memelland und der russischen Besatzung nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg berichtet. Es folgt die Schilderung ihrer Verschleppung bis weit hinter den Ural nach Sibirien an die Angara. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt ahnte die damals Fünfzehnjährige noch nicht, da zehn Jahre entbehrungsreiches Leben und Waldarbeit am Rande der Zivilisation vor ihr lagen. Von den Erlebnissen, Freuden und Gefahren dieser Zeit handelt dieses Buch.
