Synopsis "Bixby the Little Bat"

Bixby and the Moonlit Parade is a fully illustrated 24-page picture book for children ages 4-7. Every page is a finished, warmly painted illustration in rich violets, pumpkin oranges, moon yellows, and deep teals, with the story printed right inside each scene. Bixby is a tiny lavender bat with oversized ears and an orange star-patterned cape who desperately wants to join the Halloween costume parade through his cosy autumn village - but he's afraid his squeaky voice sounds silly. Through a gentle, playful adventure lit by jack-o'-lanterns and a glowing harvest moon, Bixby learns that the very thing he thought was a flaw is actually his greatest gift. With a warm palette, friendly rounded shapes, and a reassuring message, this picture book is a perfect read-aloud for Halloween season and any time a child needs to hear that being different is something to celebrate.
