Neil Gaiman (Portchester, England, 1960) is one of the most influential and versatile writers in contemporary literature, known for transforming the fantasy genre with his unique imagination and fresh approach to narrative. From a young age, Gaiman showed an intense passion for reading, devouring everything from Tolkien and C.S. Lewis classics to comics, which marked his creative path.

Gaiman began his career as a journalist and was decisively influenced by his encounter with screenwriter Alan Moore, which led him to write comics alongside artist Dave McKean, with whom he created the graphic novel Violent Cases. Later, he was hired by DC Comics to reimagine Sandman, turning a secondary character into a masterpiece of adult comics. He has also collaborated with Terry Pratchett on the novel Good Omens (1990) and has worked as a screenwriter on series like Doctor Who.

Winner of prestigious awards such as the Hugo, Nebula, Bram Stoker, and Locus, and a member of the Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame, Neil Gaiman is a versatile author who combines mythology, fantasy, and a unique narrative style, achieving a lasting impact both in literature and popular culture.
