Noch schlechter erging des der deutschen Schuhindustrie. Nur die Lederwarenbranche konnte einigerma en zufrieden sein. Auch der deutsche Modefachhandel hat zu kämpfen. Nach einem Umsatzplus 2011 musste die Branche 2012 wieder ein Minus vermelden. Vor allem der Distanzhandel macht den stationären Modefachhändlern zu schaffen.
