Jamie Smart has been an illustrator for ten years. He started by creating comic strips in a weekly cooking magazine and worked independently as a card designer at Cartlton Cards...Bear, a talking teddy bear tormented by a cat, is his most popular character and was the protagonist of a ten-book collection. Jamie created the Space Raoul comic for The Funday Times publication and soon after began working on The Dandy for My Own Genie, a story that lasted three years...In recent years, he has been writing and drawing Desperate Dan for The Dandy. He created Fish-Head Steve for The DFC comic and also worked with Cartoon Network and Disney.
