Anita Ganeri, born in Kolkata in 1961, is an Indian author specialized in children's literature and scientific dissemination. After moving to England in her childhood, she has written over 150 books focused on geography, nature, and the natural world.

Among her notable works is "The Earth in 30 Seconds" (2011), which explores the structure and phenomena of our planet in an accessible way for young readers. Another notable work is "Is My Blood Red?" (2004), co-written with Chris Oxlade, that addresses aspects of the human body.
