Life is good on board the Aisling as it sails out of Sydney and up the beautiful Eastern Coast of Australia. The breeze is tropical & the ocean is calm. Johnny Fitzpatrick, an Irish garda, and Magdalena Sánchez, ex Spanish secret service, are determined to enjoy their new romance and the first holiday either of them have had for a very long time.

The Universe has other plans for this odd couple, however. Through a series of chance encounters, they are led on a rollercoaster adventure involving international crime, betrayal, and risk to life and limb. Animals must be rescued from an unscrupulous ring of smugglers who may, or may not, be hiding in plain sight. This is a story about the power of friendship and the difference that individuals can make when motivated by the best of intentions and supported by the best of humanity, with a little help from humanity’s best friends.
